At HSBC, we offer our customers many different ways to do business with us. Internet banking and telephone banking, for example. Right at the very heart of our business are our branches and offices dealing directly, face to face with our customers. The High Street, the frontline, our window to the future.

Our branches are evolving. We are moving out from behind the screens to be there with our customers when they walk through our doors removing the austere, automated places that customers can experience elsewhere. Our branches will feel more like stores, with approachable people who know our products and know how to help our customers choose. Are you the right person to help them choose and ask for their business?

Some of our new people will be based in our branches to help and advise customers when they come in. Others, like our New Account Managers will take our products out to busy people in their homes or workplaces.

Our Commercial Relationship Managers focus on our business customers. Some will have existing portfolios and through these relationships will develop our existing business and proactively build relationships leading to new opportunities with new customers. Others will be eager to focus their talents on acquiring new business by developing a network of contacts and converting these to new business.

What won't change is our commitment to being a responsive and rounded organisation that sees the diversity of our people as a source of opportunity, and so we employ and manage a rich mix of individuals.
